The Learning Outside the Classroom accredited Iver Environment Centre is a truly special place. Owned by National Grid, it has been successfully run by Groundwork South for over 25 years.
Over 5,000 school children visit the centre each year to develop key skills, and build their knowledge and understanding of the natural world. Experiences include searching for mini-beasts and pond creatures, learning all about Rainforests, and visiting the animals on our neighbouring farm. Horticultural Therapy
Our horticultural therapy programme has been running for the past 20 years. The programme provides opportunities for adults with physical and learning disabilities to grow and care for plants in the centre’s sensory allotments.
Last year, the centre’s growing volunteer community gave over 400 days of their time. This is a truly fantastic way for local businesses to contribute to the centre’s development. For more information, please contact us at the centre.
