Oxfordshire Green Schools inspires staff and students to save energy, reduce waste, grow fruit and vegetables and take lessons outside. Assemblies, pupil workshops, teacher training, school grounds development and audits of your school’s energy and waste are all available through the project.

Viridor Energy Recovery Facility at Ardley handles all of Oxfordshire’s non-recyclable waste. The plant has a fully equipped interactive education centre which can host free visits for all school children from 8-18 years. Visits meet curriculum areas in environmental education, science, chemistry, physics, careers and more. The centre is an ideal place for Eco-Council project work on energy, waste and recycling.
